Parents and family members have a big influence on how well their children do at school, and whether they go on to college or university. However, parents may have had a hard time at school themselves, which can affect how their children feel about school.

Parents are often given confusing information that is hard to understand. Parents may not know the best way to support their child's learning - especially at secondary school.
The FOCUS on Families project works with parents to give information, advice and guidance about their child's education, The focus is on progression routes to college and university.
